Protect Our Winters
by Jacob Banfield The John Mogul team have joined forces with Protect Our Winters to help support the fight against climate change. POW's mission is to engage and mobilise the winter sports community to lead the fight against climate change. We did the research and discovered that skiing, as we know it, could be jeopardised with the threat of global warming. Winter seasons will become shorter and at lower altitudes snowfall could increasingly turn into rainfall, completely changing the way ski resorts function. It really hit home when we realised the very real possibility that there may not be such a thing as a white Christmas, anywhere, ever again. We're not sure what is worse... not being able to ski at Christmas time or rendering Bing Crosby's "I dreaming of a white Christmas" useless...!
If you'd like to join Protect Our Winters, your donation will give them the ability to continue the fight against climate change and will be allocated directly towards projects that tackle the issue. These initiatives include "Hot Planet / Cool Athletes" and POW's Pro Riders Alliances, which seeks to provide a platform for winter athletes to become leading environmental activists.
